EUROPEAN DIVERSITY VOICES

Amplifying Europe’s LGBTQ+, Minority, Women and the Unheard Voices

Initiative to protect and promote human rights, freedoms and fundamental European values enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and other key EU treaties. The project fosters international cooperation by raising awareness of Europe’s historical achievements in protecting human rights and linking them to contemporary challenges at the local, regional, national and international levels.

To achieve this goal, the European Diversity Voices partnership will organize seven unique events in seven different countries. Each will highlight Europe’s shared cultural heritage and the importance of human rights and freedoms, while strengthening civic participation and democratic engagement. The events will promote open, just and inclusive societies based on the rule of law.
The project includes a wide range of activities, such as:

– public debates and open discussions,
– outdoor photographic exhibitions,
– conferences, seminars and educational workshops,
– meetings to exchange best practices,
– film screenings combined with interactive discussions,
– art workshops and Oxford-style debates.

Through these initiatives, European Diversity Voices aims to inspire deep dialogue and active public engagement, strengthening awareness of human rights and key democratic values in Europe.

You are cordially invited to visit our project’s website, where we will post ongoing updates on the progress of the initiative.

POETRY GOES OUTSIDE

The main mission of our Poetry Goes Outside project is to raise the awareness of the young generation about the cultural heritage of Europe. We want to take young people on a journey through the meanders of European poetry, which will allow them to get to know the most outstanding authors from our partner countries and understand their most outstanding works. The project aims to engage young people in exploring poetry, a literary form that is extremely often ignored, neglected or pigeonholed as too difficult to understand.
The project is divided into five stages:

1. Poetry research – a study conducted in partner countries to assess the knowledge of the younger generation about the rich cultural heritage of their nations and other European countries. The analysis will cover their attitudes toward poetry, its role in their lives, and gather insights into their feelings and understanding of poetry and poets.
2. poetry collection – a carefully selected collection of exceptional poems, presenting the work of outstanding poets from five different countries. This collection aims to show the richness and diversity of European cultural heritage.
3. BEING WITH EUROPEAN POETRY – a two-day event including recitations, readings, workshops, presentations and analysis of poetic works.
4. Local Youth Workshops – specially designed workshops aimed at local youth to deepen their engagement with poetry.
5. Poetry Week – a week full of activities in local spaces, including recitations in public places or in groups of local youth, workshops led by speakers, experts and trainers who will introduce poetry from partner countries. The event will be strongly supported by an information campaign.

Through participation in workshops and public recitations, young people will have a unique opportunity to confront poetry from the countries of our partners and interact with many valuable materials related to this extremely rich form of artistic expression.

We cordially invite you to visit the website of our project, where we will post updates on the progress of the initiative on an ongoing basis.
